current obsession: flatforms

My super fashionable friend Marian just purchased this pair of adorable flatforms and it got me thinking, "could I pull those off?" The answer of course is "who cares because they are so damn cute I'll probs buy them anyways!" Flash forward to the end of my work day which was spent primarily looking for the perfect pair to buy for myself. Check out my flatform finds below. Happy Tuesday! ,whit

current obsession: scalloped details

If you are an avid online shopper such as myself, it would be impossible for you to miss the scallop detailing trend that has been going on. And I don't know about you guys, but I'm into it. The simplistic look is somehow vintage-cute and completely modern at the same time. Take a look at some of my favorites below and let me know what you think! xoxo, whit.

mini gift guide: don't forget the mother's day card!

I have serious love for cards and stationary. I get it from my mama! We used to make homemade cards together for our friends and family. I have fond memories of being covered in glitter glue in our living room with my mom telling me my greeting card creations were the best she'd ever seen (they were not, by the way). So, naturally, when Mother's Day comes around I am obsessive about finding the perfect card for my mom. Need a little help finding one for yours? Take a peek at these super cute cards below!

mini gift guide: 6 fun gift ideas for yo' mama

Mother's Day is May 13th, right around the corner! Even though all mothers appreciate anything their kids give them (ie: the burnt cookie disaster of '98...she actually ate them!) it is nice to put a little effort into your gift search, because your mom is totally worth it! If you are at a loss for gift ideas, take a look at these super cute ideas below. As my mom would say, "Whitney (reader), just get it done now so you don't have to worry about it later!" And, as she would also say, "let's just go shopping!" Love my mom. xoxo , whit.

add to cart: spring time!

All of the sudden, it's spring in Seattle! Which, if you are a realistic Seattleite you know, could mean anything! What's a girl to do? How on earth can one be prepared for such scattered sunny/rainy weather? I say, fill your virtual carts to the brim with adorable, yet functional, but mostly adorable clothes and accessories! You're welcome. ,whit

pfw: my top 7 shows

Its time to round out the the fashion week frenzy with Paris Fashion Week. Fashion's heavy hitters came out at PFW and they certainly did not disappoint. Also, I should point out that I totally stopped trying to chose just two of my favorites from each collection, it was just impossible. Check out my top 7 shows from the City of Light! ,whit

1. Chanel

At first these eyebrows really freaked me out. But then I was like, "I'm into this." If life in the future means life on another planet, good to know we're wearing Chanel.

2.ChloƩ

As a girl who loves fashion and lives in Seattle, I'm all about rad sweaters and beautiful coats. Fresh and so so chic, the effortlessly cool ChloĆ© girl is the girl I want to be! Or the one I want to steal from.

3.Valentino

Hands down my favorite collection at PFW. I loved these boho/folk art dresses, and that Valenitno red scalloped gown!? Please.

4.Ellie Saab

You guys, these dresses! Right!? Red carpet time for real.

5. Carven

Designer Guillaume Henry took his inspiration from the Middle Ages, which made for quirky prints and a bold color palate. I thought it was so fun and so wearable!

6. Alexander McQueen

Yes yes yes! Beautiful and optimistic, Sarah Burton's futuristic vision was nothing short of stunning.

7. Yves Saint Laurent

This collection was dark but absolutely stunning. I loved the calla lily (flower typically found at funerals and cemeteries) prints, perhaps a note of symbolism for Stefano Pilati's final show.
